SOCIAL, BROTHERHOOD, AND SPORTS

The social scene at Delta Chi has proven to be fun and exciting. Each year we hold socials, Formals, exchanges with sororities and other organizations to boost social life at the University of California-Davis. We have exchanges with sororities with fun themes that enhances the social life of a college student. Themes include Dirty Disney, Picnic Eve (eve of Picnic Day), Garden of Eden, AbC, Sports Night, Pop Icons, and Around the World. The most important of all social events are the brotherhood events planned by the Brotherhood Chairman. The Brotherhood Chairman for the 2009-2010 year is Brother Kevin Zhou. The Delta Chi Fraternity is always looking for new ideas to add to the social mix. This past fall, Delta Chi hosted "I'm Shinin'" and "10,000 B.C." Delta Chi Fraternity has recently put together Beacher's Madhouse, a Vegas Dance Night at the Davis Graduate. It was a hit and a night not to be forgotten.

The Bond of Brotherhood is one of the most appreciated aspect of being associated as a Greek member. Brotherhood events brings together the whole fraternity with fun events, such as BBQ and Football, "Battle of the States"- as planned by 2008-2009 Brotherhood Chairman Ozzy Arce, "Smack and Smash"- Super Bros Smash Brawl Tournament, Bowling Nights, Movie Nights in Downtown Davis, Paintballing, Karaoke Nights, Game Nights, Softball, Broomball, and Skydiving at Skydance in Davis.

The Brothers of DChi actively participate in Intramural Sports held at UC Davis. As a way to become active with the University, the Brothers truely learn the meaning of dedication, hardwork, teamwork, and the joy of playing sports against other groups and teams. Some of the sports that the brothers participate in include Flag Football, Indoor Soccer, Softball, Soccer, and Ultimate Frisbee. Delta Chi has recieved an award for IM Indoor Soccer; Brothers Eric Chen has recieved IM Championship for Volleyball and Erik Chow for Softball. Some of the Brothers participate in Sports Clubs and/or Teams at the University. Brothers participate actively in UCD Rugby, Lacrosse, Water Ski, Sailing, Judo, and Football. Members are also referees for Intramural Floor Hockey and Soccer.
